The Pepperl + Fuchs KFD0-CS-1.50 is a high-precision DC repeater designed to provide galvanic isolation for measuring circuits in industrial settings. This one-channel device is loop-powered and requires no auxiliary power, making it an efficient solution for a variety of applications. It boasts an accuracy of 0.1%, ensuring reliable and accurate signal transmission.
Constructed to meet the rigorous standards of EMC according to NAMUR NE 21, the KFD0-CS-1.50 is suitable for use with positioners, I/P converters, transmitters, and indicators. Its input and output are galvanically isolated, which protects signal integrity and prevents electrical interference.
The unit's technical specifications include an input rated voltage of 10 to 35 V and a rated current of 4 to 20 mA. The output voltage is designed to be ≥ 0.9 x Uin - (0.23 x current in mA) - 0.7 for input voltages between 10 V and 26.1 V, and ≥ 23 V - (0.23 x current in mA) for input voltages above 26.1 V. The short-circuit current is limited to ≤ 100 mA, and the transfer current is ≤ 25 mA.
With a deviation after calibration of ± 20 µA, which includes calibration, linearity, hysteresis, and load fluctuations up to a load of 1 kOhm at 20 °C, the KFD0-CS-1.50 maintains its precision across a range of conditions. The rise time is ≤ 5 ms at 4 to 20 mA with an input voltage of less than 26 V, ensuring swift response times for dynamic processes.
The device is safely electrically isolated according to EN 50020 with a voltage peak value of 375 V, and it conforms to the directives of electromagnetic compatibility as per EN 50081-2 and EN 50082-2. It also meets the insulation coordination and electrical isolation standards of EN 50178.
Designed for durability and reliability, the KFD0-CS-1.50 operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 60 °C and is housed in a compact enclosure with IP20 protection. Weighing approximately 100 g and measuring 20 x 107 x 115 mm, it is both lightweight and space-efficient for easy integration into existing systems.
The KFD0-CS-1.50 is ideal for isolating power loops for control of various field devices and can also be used for signal duplication, although not free of reactions, with one input and two outputs. This makes it a versatile component for a wide range of industrial automation tasks.
