The Pepperl + Fuchs KFD2-GUT-1.D is a versatile temperature converter designed to provide reliable signal conditioning for various industrial applications. This 1-channel signal conditioner is powered by a 24 V DC supply and is compatible with thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), potentiometers, and voltage inputs. It features a redundant thermocouple input for enhanced reliability and offers a current output range of 0/4 mA to 20 mA. The device is equipped with two relay contact outputs and can be easily configured using PACTware or a keypad.
The KFD2-GUT-1.D ensures galvanic isolation between field circuits and control circuits, converting input signals into proportional output currents while providing relay trip values. It includes line fault detection and sensor burnout detection, with fault signals indicated by LEDs according to NAMUR NE44 standards. The unit supports up to SIL 2 safety integrity level as per IEC/EN 61508 and IEC/EN 61511 standards.
With a robust design, the KFD2-GUT-1.D is suitable for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail and operates efficiently within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 60 °C. Its compact dimensions and IP20 protection rating make it an ideal choice for integration into control panels and industrial environments.
