"After ordering an urgent part from Marvo i received a great level of customer service and Rob was very helpful."
The Pepperl + Fuchs MLV12-54-LAS/92/120 is a state-of-the-art retroreflective sensor designed for precision detection in a variety of industrial applications. This compact sensor is housed in a robust standard housing that is widely recognised for its durability and reliability in challenging environments.
Featuring a laser diode that emits modulated visible red light, the MLV12-54-LAS/92/120 ensures a high degree of repeatability with its small light spot, allowing for the reliable detection of objects with no blind zone. The sensor's effective detection range extends up to 12 metres, with a threshold detection range of 17 metres when used with the recommended MH82 reflector.
Equipped with a polarization filter, this sensor can distinguish between true targets and reflective backgrounds, enhancing its accuracy. The laser light source is classified as Class 1, ensuring safe operation while maintaining high performance.
The MLV12-54-LAS/92/120 offers flexibility with its light/dark on switching capability and features two PNP outputs. These outputs are short-circuit protected and reverse polarity protected, ensuring a secure and stable connection. The sensor's operating voltage ranges from 10 to 30 V DC, with a maximum no-load supply current of 40 mA.
For ease of installation, the sensor comes with a 4-pin, M12 metal connector that is rotatable by 90 degrees, allowing for convenient alignment and setup. The housing dimensions are compact, with a width of 41.5 mm, height of 49 mm, and depth of 15 mm, making it suitable for integration into systems where space is at a premium.
The MLV12-54-LAS/92/120 is designed to withstand the rigours of industrial environments, boasting an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress. Its mechanical specifications ensure it can operate effectively within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 50 °C.
This retroreflective sensor is an ideal choice for automation tasks that require precise object detection, including packaging, material handling, and machine positioning. Its robust construction, combined with advanced sensing technology, provides a reliable solution for demanding industrial applications.

Thumbs up to Rob for helping out with an urgent requirement we had on a Friday afternoon. The part we wanted was over in Europe and Rob went out of his way to get it ordered and on site here for the following Tuesday.City Bearings
Absolutely fantastic service. Rob was very helpful. Great communication. Requested part was shipped in no time.Konrad Eliaszuk
Found the component i was looking for ad a great price. Great support from the staff as I was paying using a wire transfer. - Quick delivery and very good packaging.Adriano Tiberi
Found the part we needed at the best price. Spoke to Rob to make sure the part was actually in stock, as many companies don't actually have the part available to ship. It was in stock ready and the part was checked and shipped and received within a couple of days from their German stock. Would definitely use again and recommend.Chris Sentance
FIRST TIME WORKING WITH MARVO. THEY HAD WHAT I NEEDED AND TOOK GREAT CARE OF ME AND GOT MY ORDER OUT IMMEDITELY. WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE PERSON I SPOKE WITH. I WILL DEFINITELY WORK WITH THEM QGAIN IN THE FUTURE.Robert Cohen
Excellent service partially from Mark who stayed late to ensure the part arrived with me same day as this was a critical part for me even though this was my first time using Marvo. I will defiantly be using again.Josh Holt
