Phoenix Contact RAD-DOR4-IFS

The Phoenix Contact RAD-DOR4-IFS is a versatile digital I/O extension module designed to enhance the functionality of control systems in industrial environments. This compact unit features four digital relay outputs capable of handling 6 A at 250 V AC or 24 V DC, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The relay outputs are of the PDT type and are constructed with AgSnO2 contact material, ensuring reliable operation and a long service life with mechanical endurance of up to 1 x 10^7 cycles and electrical longevity of up to 1 x 10^5 cycles under specified conditions.

With a slim profile of only 17.5 mm in width, the module is engineered to fit neatly onto a standard DIN rail (NS 35), as per EN 60715, allowing for efficient use of space within control cabinets. The housing is made from PA 6.6-FR, a material known for its flame resistance and compliance with UL 94 V0 flammability standards, which contributes to the overall safety and durability of the module.

The RAD-DOR4-IFS operates within a supply voltage range of 19.2 V DC to 30.5 V DC and features transient surge protection, enhancing its resilience in challenging industrial settings. It is designed to perform reliably in a broad range of ambient temperatures, from -40 °C to 70 °C, with derating above 55 °C, ensuring consistent performance even in extreme conditions.

For ease of monitoring and maintenance, the module is equipped with a comprehensive set of status indicators, including green LEDs for supply voltage and bus communication, a red LED for periphery error, and yellow LEDs for each digital output. These indicators provide at-a-glance diagnostics to help maintain system uptime.

The RAD-DOR4-IFS is designed with user convenience in mind, featuring a screw connection method for secure and straightforward wiring. It accepts a wide range of conductor cross-sections, from 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm², and is compatible with both solid and flexible wires, accommodating diverse installation requirements.
