The Turck BI15U-CP40-VP4X2 is a high-performance inductive sensor designed for precise and reliable detection of metal objects. This sensor features a rectangular CP40 housing made from durable plastic (PBT-GF30-V0) with a yellow active face (PA6-GF30-X), ensuring robust performance in various industrial environments. With a rated switching distance of 15 mm and the ability to detect all metals at the same large switching distance, it offers significant advantages over conventional sensors.
The BI15U-CP40-VP4X2 operates within a wide voltage range of 10 to 65 VDC and supports a 4-wire, complementary contact, PNP output configuration. It is equipped with high luminance corner LEDs for optimal visibility of the supply voltage and switching state from any mounting position. The sensor is designed to be flush-mounted and is resistant to magnetic fields, making it suitable for applications where magnetic interference is a concern.
This inductive sensor boasts an extended temperature range of -30 to +85 °C, a high switching frequency of 0.25 kHz, and a protection class of IP68, ensuring reliable operation in harsh conditions.
